About The Teachers

The instructors at the European School of Dance are mature adults with experience and training in a variety of disciplines. Our instructors have either professional dance careers, national certifications, college education in dance, or have been the recipients of prestigious dance awards. These talented individuals are ready to help the students train to their fullest potential and have fun!

Jane Dudics-McLaughlin

(Studio Director)

Jane Dudics-McLaughlin is the director of the studio as well as one of its' original students. She has 25 years of dance and teaching experience at: ESoD, Geri Blyer School of Dance, Henderson's Gymnastic Academy. In addition Jane formed the dance troupe "La Chic Dancers" that toured for 2 years across NJ. Jane has extensive knowledge of all dance styles, as well as expertise in the areas of fitness, conditioning, and stretching. Her interest in fitness began when she was a competitive gymnast, where she won multiple local and state awards. This knowledge can benefit dancers of all levels. She is also AFFA Certified Group Exercise Instructor. She is dedicated to the ideals of Miss Pauline Goddard and continuing her legacy at the European School of Dance. As a parent of two children who also attend the studio, Jane is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, cost effective, and family friendly environment.

Ada Marie's Profile Pic

Ada Marie Foley

Ada Marie, an alumni of ESoD, has been at the studio since 1984, in the capacity of an instructor since 1999. She is NDEO certified. She graduated from Middlesex County College where she received the Dean's Award's for the Most Promising Student in Dance. She is also a graduate of Kean University with a BA in English Education and a pursing a Master's Degree in Education Administration. She is a full time High School American Literature Teacher and serves as the school's ColorGuard choreographer and advisor. Ada Marie is also the choreographer for the award winning "Showstoppers", dance director for Kids in the Park, performed with many Modern Dance Companies, has appeared in several music videos with artists such as P. Diddy, Lindsay Lohan, and Vishal, and has judged several dance and theatre workshops and competitions. Ada Marie is also dedicated to the ideals of Miss Pauline Goddard and helping to continue her legacy at the European School of Dance.Ada Marie continues a family tradition; her mother was one of the original students at the ESoD.

Thomas Hanner's Profile Pic

Thomas Hanner

Thomas Hanner has taught ballet for 27+ years. He began his training at a very young age in California, where he studied with the best of the Russian teachers and Royal Ballet teachers. His most influential teachers were Paul Petroff, Nana Gollner, Rosemary Valaire, Tania Riabouchinska (one of Balanchine's "baby ballerinas"). As a student he was chosen to appear with the Bolshoi in Los Angeles. At age 14 he began training at the School of American Ballet on a full scholarship from the Ford Foundation. Thomas then joined the San Francisco Ballet Company. He has performed in well over 85 classical and modern ballets as a member or guest dancer, and has danced with twenty-one professional ballet companies as well as toured across the nation. After a season with the Maryland and Washington Ballet Companies, he began teaching. His experience being invaluable, he taught in eleven different schools, including the Peabody Conservatory and the University of Maryland. He opened his first ballet studio and founded the Mt. Vernon Ballet Company in Baltimore, MD in 1985. Since that time, Thomas has staged yearly productions of "The Nutcracker Suite", "Coppelia", "Les Sylphides", "Pas de Quatre", and choreographed sixteen original works. Brenda Pipik

Brenda, an alumni of ESoD, brings 25 years of professional dance and teaching experience to the European School of Dance. She studied tap for many years under the instruction of Henry LeTang. After being on the road with the First National tour of "42nd Street", she joined the Broadway company for the next several years. Beyond her many dance accomplishments, Brenda holds a B.A. in Chemisty from Rutgers University. The studio is thrilled to have such an accomplished professional working with our dancers.

Genevieve Estanislau

Genevieve is studying dance and theatre education at Middlesex Couny College, ESoD, and various NYC studios. Genevieve has been a dancer for over ten years, focusing primarily on Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern. Her performing credits include Dance Captain and featured dancer in Sleepy Hollow at The Villagers Theatre, and ensemble in Miracle on 34th Street at Somerset Valley Playhouse. Genevieve has been selected as a teaching assistant working alongside our master instructors because of her talent as a dance and performer. Additionally, she was chosen because of her outstanding work ethic, strong desire to learn the art of professional instruction, and the genuine joy of watching children embrace dance. Her beliefs further coincide with that of the studio; her mother and sister attend classes.

Amanda Camp-Colon

Amanda Camp-Colon is a graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts majoring in dance. She has choreographed and performed for the "East Coast Comedy Tour" featuring Goumba Johnny in Elizabeth, N.J. and “Night at the Nutcracker” performed at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, N.J. For three years, Amanda was the director of the After School Modern Dance Ensemble at Franklin High School in Franklin, N.J. Her choreography has been showcased in the Somerset County Teen Arts Festival at Raritan Valley Community College and the New Jersey Teen Arts Festival in the College of New Jersey, Trenton. She recently danced in the Villager's Theater production of "Urinetown". Amanda is also a certified Polestar Pilates teacher.

Eva Lucena

Eva has toured in Spain as a principal dancer in The Sebastian Castro Dance Company. She showcased with Sammy Davis Jr. and Engelbert Humperdink in London. She also starred in Talk of the Town in London. Eva has also made several appearances on NJN TV, Images/Imagenes. She was most recently in the program, Flamenco: The Essence of Dance and Drama. She is the founder and director of Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre.
