Interactive Storytime Dancer:
For Summer Only! Storytime Dance with Princess Genevieve offers 5 classes, 5 exciting stories, 5 dance adventures, 5 dress up moments, 5 coffee breaks for Mom- all for 2 weeks!
Prince & Princess Ballet:
An 45 minute class in ballet basics that introduces technique in a fun and nurturing environment; encourages dance through imagination, songs, and movement.
Tot Tumblers:
An introduction to ballet movement and basic tumbling. The class encompasses creative movement with strength training.
Mom & Tot:
Give your child a head start by working one on one , instilling a love of dance, under the direction of an experienced professional. This class will help the child explore and develop motor skills as well as social skills through interaction with others of the same age. The class concentrates on locomotor skills such as hoping,jumping, skipping & rolling movements. This class is for children ages 2-3 1/2; a great prelude into tot tumbling.
Ballet:
The foundation for all dance forms. Class focus is on learning the correct terminology, with a strong emphasis on proper placement, coordination, musicality, and the joy of moving the body in space. Proper ballet technique ensures that dancers develop excellent muscle tone and versatility between the various dance forms. Ballet/Tap Combo:
An introduction to Ballet & Tap- two classes for the price of one!
Junior Ballet:
An intermediate level class that focuses on further developing classical technique, understanding ballet terminology, correct execution of steps as well as an understanding and application of placement and alignment. More challeging barre and center work is introduced. Pointe may be introduced. (Pointe requirements: Students must be 12 years of age and have instructor recommendation.)
Senior Ballet/Pointe:
For the advanced dancer with many years of Ballet & Pointe training. This is an exclusive class designed to advance the technqiue and performance skills of serious dancers. Students will gain self-discipline, a strong work ethic, self-motivation, improved confidence, and an appreciation for high standards of excellence.
Musical Theatre:
A unique combination of the choreographic styles of the American musical theatre and movie musicals. Combinations are done to a myriad of music from Broadway and movie musicals to Latin & Blues. Students will learn basic theatre skills including character development, stage presence, and style.
Broadway Basics:
Class designed for children 9 and up with a passion for musical theatre performing but little dance training. Students will learn basic Broadway Jazz and Tap- the must-know moves of any future Broadway Star!
Broadway Jazz:
A smooth technique consisting of many challenging jumps and turns. Ballet training is recommended to develop the proper strength and flexibility for good jazz technique.
Hip Hop:
A popular urban youth culture dance style that provides a funkier edge to the basic style of jazz. Popping, Locking, and basic Break dancing moves are taught.
Acrobatics:>
Covers gymnastic kills such as cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, etc. Strengthening exercises are given to prepare the body for the challenging movements of this class.
Tap:
Students learn the fundamental tap techniques, musicality, weight placement techniques and enhance their motor skills.
Modern:
Dance with no boundaries. Expressionist form of movement. Students encouraged to find their own dance style. Dancers will explore the various techniques that helped shape the world of Modern dance today. Ballet training is required.
Burlesque Dance:
Release your inner exotic dancer while burning calories. Great for cardio, toning leg muscles, increasing flexibility, improving your freestyle dance technique all while building self esteem and confidence. High Heeled Shoes recommended.
Flamenco:
Traditional dances of Spain including heel and toe steps, as well as expressive, graceful body and hand movment.Taught by guest instructor Eva Lucena of Alborada Dance
Belly Dancing:
Truly a class for every level dancer, Belly Dancing promotes body awareness, self confidence, and an extraordinary sense of wellness. Fun low impact workout includes targeted midsection exercises to exotic music. Have fun and embrace being a woman!
Zumba:
Zumba is a fast paced cardio-aerobic workout sure to make you sweat! Original Latin,African and hip hop music is infused together to insure a motivating soundtrack. This class is not recommended for the very beginner but rather the aerobic lover looking to add an exciting new spin onto their aerobic dance regime.
Pilates:
Pilates, based on the mind-body principles of Joseph Pilates, dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.
Ballet of the Bulge!:
Adult beginner ballet class that encompasses ballet fundamentals (barre & locomotor skills) and pilates exercises. Emphasis is placed on stretching.
Yoga & Fitness/Yoga-lates
Amazing workout! Increase flexibility and oxygen flow all while strengthening your core muscles. This technique aids in stress relief and reduces lower back tightness and pain.

Workshops: Tap, Jazz, Classical Ballet:
Jazz & Tap Technique- Only class focused on increasing strength and flexibility. Dancers will further develop a strong technical foundation and mastering of skills needed to execute advanced movements such as turns, leaps, and jumps.
Classical Ballet- Dancers will further develop a strong technical foundation and mastering of skills through extensive barre work and center floor work. This workshop is focused on improving individual dancer ballet fundamentals while increasing strength and flexibilty.
